Connect with your own marketplace credentials
For merchants or their technical administrators who already have authorized API access. Account registration, permissions and any marketplace approval are your responsibility. Credentials do not bypass platform rules. There is no one-click store authorization.
Start with free read-only connection and mapping checks. These verify read access only. Inventory write testing requires an active paid subscription; insufficient write permissions can still cause that first test to fail. Workflow Inspector cannot verify write capability before payment.
Before you start
- Shopify must hold your authoritative stock quantity at the correct location.
- Your existing order integration must import sales from every destination into Shopify and correctly handle cancellations and returns. Inventory Sync does not import orders, fulfill them or decide whether a cancellation should restock.
- Disable competing inventory writers. Use identical, unique SKUs and tracked Shopify inventory.
- Only connect applications and stores you are authorized to use with this hosted service. If your platform does not permit this use, leave that channel disconnected.
Never email tokens, paste them into support messages, or enter store passwords here. Enter credentials only in the signed-in setup form. Saved credentials are encrypted. Shopify and TikTok access tokens must be replaced when expired or revoked; Amazon and eBay access tokens are obtained using the supplied refresh token.
1. Shopify: your stock source
- Your store administrator creates or selects an authorized app in the Shopify Dev Dashboard and installs it on the intended store.
- Grant
read_inventoryandread_productsaccess for inventory and product discovery. This connector does not write Shopify inventory. - Obtain the installed app's Admin API access token using Shopify's supported authorization flow. An app client secret is not an access token.
- Enter the exact
your-store.myshopify.comdomain, access token, and the app secret used to sign its webhooks. - After saving mappings, use the webhook URL shown in setup to register
inventory_levels/updateon that app. The signing secret must match. Without this webhook, checks run on the five-minute reconciliation schedule.
2. Choose your destination connections
TikTok Shop
- Use your authorized developer app in TikTok Shop Partner Center. Complete any app or regional approval requested by TikTok.
- Authorize the seller's shop for product reads and inventory updates. Follow the app's seller authorization flow to obtain a seller access token.
- Use the authorized-shops API to obtain that shop's cipher. Enter the app key, app secret, seller access token and shop cipher.
Only matching active products and warehouse stock are supported. FBT inventory is excluded. Renew your token through your app's supported process and replace it in setup before it expires. Seller authorization guide.
Amazon
- Use an authorized SP-API application from Solution Provider Portal with access to Listings Items operations, including the Product Listing role.
- Authorize the seller for that application using Amazon's supported flow. Obtain the LWA client ID, client secret and seller refresh token.
- Enter those credentials, the seller ID, marketplace ID and matching region: North America, Europe or Far East.
Only active merchant-fulfilled DEFAULT inventory is supported. FBA and supply-source inventory are excluded. Amazon authorization guide.
eBay
- Use your production application keyset from the eBay Developers Program. Complete eBay's production-access requirements.
- Authorize the seller using the authorization-code flow with
https://api.ebay.com/oauth/api_scope/sell.inventory. Read-only scope is insufficient for corrections. - Enter the production client ID, client secret and seller refresh token. Sandbox credentials are not supported by this production connector.
Listings must already be published Inventory API offers. Legacy listings require migration through eBay before connecting. eBay authorization guide.
3. Match and review
- Open setup, enter connections, and search for an exact Shopify SKU.
- Select the product and source location, then the matching destination listing or warehouse. Resolve ambiguous matches yourself.
- Set safety stock and each destination's percentage. Percentages for one source item/location must total no more than 100%. These are publishing limits, not reservations.
- Add every mapping you want to retain. Saving replaces all previous mappings and pauses synchronization.
- Leave automatic increases off until you have verified order imports. Workflow Inspector relies on your confirmation and does not independently test the order importer. Compare current stock and inspect the proposed quantity before subscribing or applying a correction.
4. Verify your store before automating
Run this procedure separately for each destination with your store administrator. Do not place paid test orders just for this test. Use platform-supported test orders where compatible, or observe an authorized normal transaction.
- Choose a low-risk SKU and record its source quantity, destination quantity, buffer and allocation. Keep automatic synchronization paused.
- Compare quantities. For an approved correction, review and apply the displayed value, then independently verify the destination in its seller dashboard. Record the operation time and read-back result. Restore stock only after checking for intervening sales; never blindly restore an old value.
- Confirm an order reaches Shopify exactly once and decreases stock at the mapped location. Confirm cancellation/return behavior agrees with your actual restocking policy. Repeated delivery must not deduct or replenish twice.
- Enable synchronization only after order imports work. Observe a permitted source decrease, then an approved restock with automatic increases enabled if desired. Check every destination and the Recent operations log.
- Record three timestamps: marketplace transaction, Shopify stock update, and confirmed destination update. Report order-import delay separately from synchronization delay. Repeat for a cancellation that actually restocks.
- Pause if quantities differ, imports lag, credentials expire or writes are uncertain. Fix the cause, compare again, and explicitly resume.
A one-second worker interval does not guarantee delivery within seconds. Reconciliation runs every five minutes; provider throttling, import delay and API response times affect completion. Real merchant writes and end-to-end latency have not yet been independently verified for this release.
If setup fails
- Unauthorized or token rejected: check the app, seller authorization, expiry, scopes and production environment; replace revoked credentials.
- No matching SKU: check exact spelling, tracked inventory, source location and whether the destination is active and supported.
- Overallocated: reduce percentages across all mappings sharing the source item/location to 100% or less.
- Setup expired or changed: restart discovery and review; setup selections expire after 15 minutes.
- Uncertain write or paused sync: inspect the seller dashboard and Recent operations before retrying. Do not enable another inventory writer to mask the error.
For support, provide the channel, error code, SKU and operation timestamp with credentials removed. Removing saved connections stops synchronization but does not cancel billing. Use Manage subscription to cancel renewal, and revoke app authorization at each marketplace when access is no longer needed.
